Barcelona to recuperate

As a way of Andy recuperating from his Glandular fever and because we had to cancel the trip to Gibraltor, we decided to head off to Barcelona for a week. Tickets were booked for an extortionate price as it was July and I did some sundress shopping.We had an early morning flight,arriving at midday and duly took ourselves off to see the Sagrada Familia. It was raining buckets even though it was sunny but we made sure to try and make the most of it.We really enjoed walking up and down the La Rambla,tasting the tapas and enjoying jugs of Sangria. Don't know of it was helping Andy recuperate but I sure enjoyed it.We tried and made sure we had a swim each day in the sea.On the wednesday we took ourselves off to Montserrat.What a beautiful place and with such a peacefulness about it even with all the tourists.We can see why one of the James Bond films was filmed here and the backdrop of the monastry built into the mountains is a sight to behold.
